Here at Super Parenting LLC, we've decided to change the Super Parenting Pledge to the Super Parenting Oath. We've done so in an effort to better serve the parents that utilize our services as well as to clarify our purpose in writing the oath.
We've discovered that in using the word 'pledge', many parents mistakenly thought this was a plea for them to pledge or donate money in some way. This is contrary to what was intended when we initially wrote the oath. An oath is defined by Random House Dictionary as:
The form of words in which such a statement or promise is made. A vow or pledge.
Our goal is to motivate parents to REMEMBER, REITERATE and HERALD their dedication to parenting their children by making a promise, vow or pledge to be super. In other words, to take the Super Parenting Oath.
This past weekend, I had the pleasure of being interviewed on a podcast by Deb Ingino, one of our active Super Parenting Social Network Members, and more importantly the creator of MyWiredStyle.com. My Wired Style is an organization assisting parents and children in finding how they are wired, so they may know their strengths and purpose.Their motto is, success is not learned. It is discovered and nurtured. Press play to listen to the interview.
Super Parenting LLC is proud to invite parents worldwide to take the Super Parenting Pledge! This pledge serves as an oath to honor the responsibilities of parenting and to make the best effort to be a SUPER PARENT. Parents may have already vowed to maximize their parenting experience, long ago, when they first joined parenthood. This pledge, however, serves as a tangible record of this commitment to our children and our family lives, along with a reminder of the key ingredients in SUPER PARENTING our children. Please join with us in taking the Super Parenting Pledge for the sake of our children, community and humankind in general.
